Finding a Job in Boston in a Recession

Jibber Jobber has a great, timely article up by Megan Fitzgerald that mirrors a lot of the points I like to make.  And, she goes a bit further, especially with the “help others” type of thing.  Me?  I’m a jerk, so this never occured to me….

Oh, and looking for a job near Boston?  Apply here, we’re hiring!

Thanks for the plug Martin :)

    Hi Martin,

I tried contacting you a while ago but never received a response, can you please email me so we can discuss my proposal?

    Thanks

  3. Martin Says:

Chris – Don’t recall an email from you, and couldn’t find anything in my Outlook (searched it using Zipi, Xobni, etc).

    Could you resend?

And: nice, cautionary tale for job seekers. E-mails don’t always get where they should, and are faily passive. Use the phone to follow up….

If you’re a college student in the Boston area check out http://www.jobaphiles.com. There are tons of local job postings from Boston businesses looking to hire–even in this recession.
