Great exercise in the blog Creating Psssionate Users, posted by Kathy Sierra.  While “What would you rather hear in a user’s product review?” is aimed at product development based on the user experience, and how to really get at the information you need, there’s a nifty little exercise I’d encourage anybody looking for a new job to do.  Think of yourself as the product, and your potential new employer as the customer.  How would you want them to review you?  How would you like to have been reviewed in the past?  Great way to see things from the other perspective, and how to sell yout skills approprietly (hint: people tend towards the selfish – demonstrate how you can enable your potential boss to do their own job better, and you’re very, very close to closing the deal).
