Barry Bonds is – on paper – a perfect candidate: great numbers, great career path, a pedigree that makes most baseball players look like Sons of Sam (no, not Sosa).  So, why isn’t he doing better financially?  There’s a great article on SI.com that takes a look at all the money (and it’s a ton) that Barry’s leaving on the table due to his, umm, particular challenges.

The point? Never underestimate the marketability of your personality when it comes to your career – if you’re a grump, don’t expect people to wan to buy (hire) you.
